  5. Corten Steel Grade A588

    Corten Steel Grade A588 is widely used at construction sites to reinforce building structures. This steel plate exhibit superior corrosion resistance over regular carbon steel as a result of the development of a protective oxide film on the metals surface which slows down further corrosion.

    The atmospheric corrosion resistance of A588 Grade A steel in most environments is substantially better than that of carbon structural steels with or without copper addition. When properly exposed to the atmosphere, A588 Grade A steel is suitable for many applications in the bare (unpainted) condition.
